	Management Extreme DA is a privately held electronic design automation (EDA) company focused on variation-aware parametric yield analysis, optimization, and specification sign-off of integrated circuit (IC) designs before transfer to manufacturing. Extreme DA solutions and technology facilitate robust designs and significantly improve IC design performance, power consumption, and manufacturing yields. Extreme DA was founded in December of 2003 by a veteran team of EDA, IP, and IC design technologists. Initial Series A funding was by Lanza techVentures, and Series B funding was raised in Q1 2007 and led by Foundation Capital with IT-Farm Corporation and Lanza techVentures. Management Team Mustafa Celik, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Celik formed Extreme DA after holding technical lead positions with Magma Design Automation and Monterey Design Systems following his post-graduate work at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Celik has extensive experience in the research and development of IC timing and extraction technology and methods. He has attracted a team of highly qualified software developers to Extreme DA. Sanjay Lall, Vice President of Worldwide Sales Sanjay Lall brings more than 20 years of EDA industry experience to Extreme DA. Most recently, he founded and led Silicon Software and grew it into the leading EDA distribution company for the Central United States. Silicon Software was responsible for the rapid adoption and proliferation of leading-edge technologies from companies including Brion Technology, CadMOS, Plato, Circuit Semantics, Celestry, and Kilopass. Previously, Lall was Director of Sales in the central U.S. region for EPIC Design. There, he was a major contributor in positioning the company for its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Synopsys. Lall has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, Calif. Guy Maor, Vice President, Engineering Guy Maor was promoted to Vice President, Engineering, from the Director of Engineering and reports to the CEO. Mr. Maor has more than 11 years of experience in the electronic design industry. Previously, he held senior engineering positions at Agilent Technologies and Monterey Design Systems. He holds an M.S.E.E. from the University of Texas at Austin. Yuji Kukimoto, Ph.D., Chief Scientist Now Chief Scientist, Kukimoto was previously Director of Engineering at Extreme DA. He joined the company in 2004 from Cadence Design Systems, where he was a senior member of the Consulting Staff. Before that, Kukimoto was a Member of the Technical Staff of Silicon Perspective Corporation, and a Member of the Technical Staff at Monterey Design Systems. Kukimoto holds a B.S.E.E. and an M.S.C.S. from the University of Tokyo and a Ph.D. in E.E.C.S from the University of California, Berkeley. Board of Directors Lucio Lanza, Executive Chairman of the Board Mr. Lanza is the managing director of Lanza techVentures. Previously, he was a partner at USVP, and held senior executive positions at leading EDA companies Daisy and Cadence Design Systems. He also has a long history of successful investments in the industry, including Artisan Components (acquired by ARM), CadMos (acquired by Cadence), CriticalBlue, Epic Design, Forte Design Systems, Gradient Design Automation, Hier Design (acquired by Xilinx), Mojave Designs (acquired by Magma), PDF Solutions, and others. Mike Schuh Before joining Foundation Capital in 1998, Mike Schuh was CEO, co-founder, and chairman of the board of Intrinsa Corporation, a software applications company that was acquired by Microsoft. Mike helped to create and establish two leading software companies: Computervision in the CAD/CAM market, and Cadence in the EDA market. Mustafa Celik Technical Advisor Larry Pileggi, Advisor Dr. Pileggi is the Tanoto Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of the Center for Silicon System Implementation at Carnegie Mellon University. He is one of the world's most respected academic authorities in the field of integrated circuit design methodologies.
